First impressions are important. That’s why a beautiful entry can have a huge influence on the style of a home.
Start with a table that introduces your home decor: traditional, coastal, rustic, modern, industrial, contemporary. Drawers or a shelf are important for storage (eliminate the clutter people). A textured grasscloth table is a great option for those who want something different than the traditional wood finish. HELPFUL HINT: if your table has space underneath, use an ottoman or stool to give guests a seat when putting on their shoes!
Use either a mirror or art as the backdrop. Mirrors help make a room feel more spacious, while art can give the space a cozy feel. Frame family photos to personalize the space with a wall collage. Some people opt for a fun wallpaper as a colorful background for the space.
It’s all in the details! A table lamp is great addition to an entry. It’s decorative, functional and can brighten up the room. You can choose to layer accessories to give dimension to any table. Books, candles, trays, sculptures, clocks, vases, frames — whatever fits your personality! Don’t forget to bring the room to life by using either a plant or some flowers.
